Notes to remember:
- If needed lower volume level of the person asking the questions, but ONLY have them slightly quieter than the interviewee
Things I want to include:
- Hard cut into one of the actors saying something about the film
- Include a moderate amount of extracts in order to show skill in ict tech.
- Not dramatic but decent titles at the start
- Sound transitions over extracts
- Good lighting on interviewee
- Give all members of interview a title
- Show both interviewer and interviewee
- Have film poster in background
- Try and feature a creative background
- Keep interview moderately serious but give it a lighter tone
- (this final one is for future me to read) it is optional for me to include if i film it outside

Dialogue
|
Soft piano or other laid back music begins to play quietly in background...
|
… as the screen fades to black
| |
Music continues until end
(when I find the right piece of music i will post its name as well as a link to it)
|
Extract film on screen with quiet audio. Extract consts of maso on his bike
| |
| Music used will be "plucky Daisy" by kevin Macleod https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Stb6HIBw8M |
We cut to an interviewer
Their title appears in the bottom life, in the same format as the first actor
|
“Hello, mr Bishop it's nice to see you again”
|
Music Continues
|
Reverse shots from both interviewer and interviewee
Interviewee has title appear in bottom left corner.
INTERVIEWEE sits on left
INTERVIEWER sits on right
*of frame
|
“ Hello and yes, it's nice to sit down after all he frantic work that has been put into the production”
|
Music Continues
|
Reverse shot back to interviewer
|
“I have seen the progress of this so let me ask you first, what did you first think when you had the idea of this production?”
|
Reverse shot back to interviewee
|
“At first, confused and a little baffled. The task of creating a social realism production is one i have never been faced with before but I felt up to the challenge”
| |
Reverse shot back to interviewer
|
“I've seen how other directors have researched into their audience and into how they go about actually reaching their audience and asking them questions so how have you gone about this?
| |
Reverse shot back to interviewee
|
“Target audience research is a key element to any kind of film making, anyone can pick up a camera and make a film something and make it into a movie but it's the audience that separates those who don't know who their audience is and who do and it shows when it comes to actually distributing the film. My primary target audience is males aged between 16-20.
| |
Reverse back to interviewer
|
“Why such a low age for what could be a very in depth movie, aren't kinds of this age all into shooting guns, gangs and explosions. They like action movies, this is far from that genre so how do you set about attracting them?”
| |
Reverse back to interviewee
|
“That is the stereotypical view of teenagers, and yes most of them would look at this film and may not be interested however I have been contacting many people inside this age bracket and have asked this to take part in a focus group. Every Time they give their opinion and suggest ideas on what i should do to make this production more attractive to them.”
| |
Reverse back to interviewer
|
“So, what did they say?”
| |
Reverse back to interviewee
|
“A movie poster is a key element in attracting the audience, they want to see something interesting that will make them wonder what the film is about.”
| |
Reverse back to interviewer
|
“So why this age group? It sounds impossible to get people of that age to sit down and watch
| |
Reverse back to interviewee
|
“The focus group have helped me with this quite a lot, I know what I need to do in order to attract this audience”
| |
Reverse back in interviewer
|
“So is it just males that you are aiming this production towards or are you aiming it at females as well?”
| |
Reverse back to interviewee
|
“The overall production runs off the theme of unrequited love, a feeling which many males of this age have felt, not only does this make the production relatable to but it also makes it very in depth. Males are not the only ones though, females may be feeling the same way”
| |
Reverse back in interviewer
|
“That is a very deep emotion, which I agree will make the film very relatable to. One last question, do you think the film will be successful?”
| |
Reverse back to interviewee
|
“I hope so, if i can keep up with the focus group schedules and amount of editing required then yes, i believe we could have a very successful film on our hands.”
|
Although this script looks long, I don't think it will last very long, I want to aim the video to be round 10 minutes long. I want to keep the speaking at a moderate pace, I will also have to set up two cameras in order to film the constant reverse shots (shot/counter shot). I will have the script looked over to see if i can make any improvements.
